The bookbinding tools of Romilly Saumarez Smith were photographed using both negative and positive film. One sequence of images, specifically made for an installation at Leighton House in 1986, was printed on a vast scale to look like pencil drawings.
Returning to this work in 2009, two new sets of photographs were printed, resulting in three distinct sequences.
